Our Wellness Center is an ideal place to complement your yoga or meditation practice. Massage therapy is a way to help us reach an even deeper level of mind-body connection and release any tension that may be blocking the flow of this energy.

ACUPRESSURE
Acupressure is an ancient healing art that uses the fingers to press key points that stimulate the body’s natural self-curative abilities. It can boost the immune system, reduce pain or be an effective part of preventative health care.

CRANIAL SACRAL THERAPY
Cranial sacral therapy nurtures and supports the nervous system, brain and spinal cord through a series of gentle, sustained contacts that release tension, ease pain and allow the body to retune.
Practitioners who offer Cranial Sacral therapy at Namaste:
Hot stone massage is a technique originally created by Native Americans. Your therapist will use heated stones smoothed by nature, usually a river rocks, as a way to massage your body and release muscle tension. The heat allows tight muscles to relax more quickly.

PRENATAL MASSAGE
Mamas-to-be can incorporate massage therapy as a supplement to an emotionally and physically healthy pregnancy. With prenatal massage, ease stress, decrease swelling, relieve aches and pains, and reduce anxiety and depression.

POST PARTUM MASSAGE
Regular massage is a beneficial part of the Postpartum period. Many new moms may experience physical and/or emotional discomforts. Massage can help re-establish pelvis structural integrity, reduce stress hormones, facilitate healing, and support healthy lactation.

REIKI
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is an ancient Japanese healing technique that uses the life force energy to heal, balancing the subtle energies within our bodies. Reiki addresses physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances. During a Reiki session, the practitioner will place her hands lightly on different parts of your body, and some Reiki practitioners do not actually touch their clients. Instead, they will hover their lifted palms a few inches above the body. Reiki energies flows to where the imbalances are in the body, regardless of where the practitioner’s hands are placed, allowing for healing to take place.

SHIATSU
Shiatsu massage uses localized finger pressure in a rhythmic sequence to improve the flow of energy and help the body regain balance. Shiatsu is good for deep muscle relaxation, stress reduction or detoxification.

SPORTS AND INJURY MASSAGE
Sports massage uses deep tissue and Swedish techniques specifically adapted to deal with the effects of intense physical exertion on the body. It can ease stiffness and pain, increase mobility in joints, warm muscles prior to exercise, and help remove toxins and lactic acid after a workout.

SWEDISH MASSAGE
By using long, flowing strokes, Swedish massage can reduce pain and joint stiffness, improve circulation and promote deep relaxation.

THAI MASSAGE
Thai massage combines passive stretching with massage along the body’s energy lines to increase flexibility, relieve muscle and joint tension and balance the body’s energy systems. No oil is used and clients wear comfortable clothing.

TRIGGER POINT MASSAGE
Trigger point massage therapy uses isolated pressure and release techniques to alleviate pain at the source. Deep breathing techniques and communication between practitioner and client help identify exact locations and determine the intensity required.
